A numerical simulation and optimization study on the ventilation air distribution of toilets in the public areas of subway underground stations is carried out, and the influences of air exhaust mode, air exchange rate, lower air outlet height and make-up air form on pollutants are analysed. The study shows that the use of natural air supply, local mechanical lower air exhaust, lower air outlet height of 0.3 m and air exchange rates of 20 h-1can effectively reduce indoor pollutants and improve indoor air quality in the toilet. The implementation effect is verified by field test.
